Happy "Fall"o-ween
On October 30th, our childcare and preschool children enjoyed a morning of activities! Thanks to the downtown Sawyer businesses, the children paraded through town and "Trick-or-Treated" in their costumes. Then they ate a wonderful snack, played games, and made a few crafts, all provided by our families and teachers. We want to thank everyone who made this such a special day for our little ones.
First day of Preschool 2024/2025
On September 4th, we had our first day of Preschool. We had a very busy day! Putting our supplies away, going to our first chapel service with Pastor Wittig and hearing the "Creation" bible story, having a birthday treat of "Dirt Cups" thanks to Harper, YUM! We met new friends, investigated the classroom, and enjoyed the playground. What fun! We look forward to a wonderful year!
In Honor of the Olympics
With the help of teachers and a couple of school-age children (Avery & Lilly), Ms. Liz spearheaded a "Mini-Olympic Event" for the children! They had torches to carry as they walked to the "arena" and then they all participated in the following events: hurdles; streamer dancing; the long run; mighty jump; lifting weights; and tumbling. Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our afternoon!
Summer Sonshine Vacation Bible School
The Youth Ministry Board, with help from several volunteers, told the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors. Using Joseph as an example, the children learned about the armor of God, His belt of truth, and breastplate of righteousness. We had a great time making our own "coat of many colors" and a belt of truth, which we proudly wore. Mrs. Tanja made delicious breastplates, sandals and belt of truth for snack. Before they left, each child received their own copy of the story of Joseph.
